Goal setting

'Life without a goal is lifeless'

We need a goal to lead our life in a successful path. If there is no goal, in which direction one shall move?. So, set a proper goal for Healthy, Happy, Peaceful and successful life.

Types of goals

Goals can be classified into three types:

  • Short-Term Goal
  • Long - Term Goal
  • Life Goal/Permanent Goal

Short - Term Goals

Every human being has all the three goals. Temporary goals live for short time. They change frequently, some times every day. Ex. Learning some answers on a particular day, drawing some figure, preparation for a slip test. Temporary goals are essential to achieve the long-term goals

Long - Term Goals

We need a goal to lead our life in a successful path. If there is no goal, in which direction one shall move?. So, set a proper goal for Healthy, Happy, Peaceful and successful life.

Life-Goal/Permanent Goal

We have five senses, - Eyes, Ears, Nose, Tongue and Skin. All the Human beings have been using these senses for the same purpose, i.e., eyes to see, ears to hear etc. In addition, all we are living because of heart beating and respiration. In such a case, why the goal varies with person to person- answer is ‘varying personality’. The personality influences the human goals, of course, only short-term and long-term. We need Sound health for carrying daily work. To lead happy life and to maintain sound health, one needs Peaceful life. So, our Life goal should be healthy and peaceful life. The short – term and long - term goals should be set, in such a way, they shall not disturb healthy and peaceful life.

  • How much percentage you are getting?
  • Ans: 57%.

  • This may not sufficient.
  • Ans: I have a lot of interest.

  • What do you need to get a Medical seat?
  • Ans: Good rank in EAMCET.

  • Only Interest not sufficient for getting Medical seat.
  • Ans: Yes sir.

Finally, I tell them, your daughter ís goal is not a proper one. Unless, improve her efficiency in many aspects, it is difficult for her to achieve the goal.
